Since high school, I have struggled with maintaining a consistent energy level. Throughout high school and college I was falling asleep during class, having a difficult time focusing on the task at hand, and not managing my stress levels very well. I often felt like I was just barely making it through my days. Life slowed down for a brief moment and I felt like I could catch my breathe, but then a cute little baby boy joined the family and I felt myself feeling sluggish and at the point of a mental break down.
Luckily the stars aligned and with the help of my supportive husband, I intentionally slowed down my life. I started taking care of myself better, and I slowly started implementing all of the self help information that I had been obtaining the last couple years of my life. The changes in my life that I was seeing was fabulous, but I knew that I could do better. So I started improving specific areas of my life that I knew affected my energy levels, and I boy has it made a difference. I wake up more rejuvenated ready to play and taken on the day's tasks.
The changes that I made were not rocket science, they were simple. With time, I believe that anyone can turn these changes into habits.
